A special effects business hired by Queen and Kylie Minogue has set a world record for the largest laser show at an event in Las Vegas.
ER Productions used 11km of cable to set up 12 tonnes of equipment worth £2.6 million for its spectacular display.
The Dartford-based company lit up the Nevada skyline with 314 laser fixtures during a 30-minute show.
The display took weeks to design and three days to set up, before being awarded the Guinness World Record at the city’s Live Design International convention on Saturday.
It is the latest in a string of achievements for the company, which has a glittering client list including Calvin Harris, The X Factor, America’s Got Talent, Metallica, Jaguar Land Rover, Katy Perry and Zayn Malik.
Guinness World Records official adjudicator Sofia Greenacre said: “I’m pleased to confirm that ER Productions did indeed manage to set a new Guinness World Records title for the Largest Laser Show, which now stands at 314 lasers. My congratulations go out to all those who took part.”
The company’s bosses decided to hold the showcase to mark its 10th anniversary.
It comes after the business revealed last week it has secured £200,000 of funding for expansion.
Co-founder Ryan Hagan said: “We’ve worked with many fantastic companies, events, and performers throughout the years but creating such a memorable showcase, that celebrates all we have achieved in the laser industry, has been a real highlight.”
