The Smith family's influence at a leading freight and logistics firm has been extended after another member of the clan joined.
Managing director of Aylesford-based TPS Global Logistics, Matt Smith, has expanded the sales and marketing team to include a customer services role which has been filled by Michelle Bristow. She is the sister of MD Matt and key account manager Toby Smith, at the family firm.
TPS Global Logistics has been trading since 2003 and is named in memory of Tim Paul Smith, Matt Smith’s father, who was influential when he was forming the business.
The MD said: "I am delighted to be welcoming my sister to the team.
"I think Dad would be very proud of what we have achieved with the business over the last 15 years. As the company continues to grow, Michelle will be responsible for keeping in touch with all of our customers to ensure we continue to meet our service standards.’
The company has grown steadily over the last 15 years, and now employs 45 people at its newly refurbished warehouse and distribution facility.
