A logistics company is opening a new depot in Dartford - with its 80 staff already in the county relocating to the site.
Delivery firm DX has signed a long-term lease on a 1.2 acre site at Edisons Park - next to the Dartford Crossing.
The 28,000sq ft site is the firm's third new depot in 2022 and once again underlines the growth of the logistics industry in the county.
The site will allow it to expand its DX Express division, which handles next-day deliveries, and its DX Freight operation.
Its team which currently operates in Swanley will move to the new depot.
Lloyd Dunn, chief executive officer at DX said: "We are committed to driving improvements across both of the group’s divisions, and this new site will enable us to increase the capacity and service levels of both in the South East. Our investment in the business continues, with more than 12 further sites planned to be added to our network over the next two years.”
