A mechanic at a leading repair shop in Ashford has retired after nearly 28 years with the firm.
Alan Crawford joined D&D Autos in 1992 and was responsible for the company's MoT service for nearly three decades.
But he has now bowed out of the firm he first started working for when it was based at its former site in Victoria Road.
Now based in Moat Way on the Orbital Park, the 64-year-old says he was sad to leave.
He said: "I was really pleased to join D&D when I found myself out of work at the end of 1992 and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with such a friendly and dedicated team over the past 28 years.
“It’s been a lot of fun and it’s always been a friendly place to work.
“The children are already lining up jobs to keep me busy now I have retired."
