A south east MEP will be visited the Port of Dover next week to hear customs officials' views on the impact of Brexit.
Green MEP Keith Taylor will meet senior figures at the port on Monday to discuss the implications of the government's new White Paper on Brexit and the preparations for a 'no deal' exit.
He will then meet campaign group EU Thinking Dover and Deal at the Cinque Port Arms.
Mr Taylor said: "To get the inside view on the real world impacts of a chaotic Tory Brexit is invaluable. Haulage firms, industry bodies, and ports, especially Dover, have been consistently flagging this issue with the UK government without so much as a flicker of recognition from ministers. While the Tories talk up 'the road to Brexit', the reality is that this is one of the many, many, in this case literal, roadblocks the government still hasn't even attempted to clear."
