Reeves, the accountancy and financial services firm, will take on a new name next month designed to highlight its ability to service clients internationally.

The firm, based in Canterbury, Chatham and Discovery Park in Sandwich, will become known as Kreston Reeves from Monday, February 2.

The change is based on its 30-year membership of Kreston International, the global network of independent accounting firms.

It means clients working abroad will have the same access to advice in the relevant countries, as part of the 13th largest network in the world, with more than 20,000 staff.

Executive chairman Clive Stevens said: “Nothing is altering about our priorities, which remain the provision of excellent service to our clients helping them to achieve their business and individual goals.

“An increasing number, both of individuals and businesses, have activities outside the UK or want to develop them. This renaming is intended to show that we are with them all the way.

“There are exciting opportunities we all want to seize.

“The business world is becoming increasingly collaborative, complex and international, as well as digital, for many of our clients. We want to reflect these changes for them and us as we move into the next phase of our own story.”

The company will still draw its client base from London and the South East, where it has been working more than 100 years. Other bases include London, Gatwick and Eastbourne.

There is no change to the ownership of Reeves, which remains an independent firm, although the company will use a new logo.

The company firm employs more than 300 people including 40 partners. It generates an annual fee income of more than £20 million.
