ParkServe, based at Discovery Park, Sandwich, have made Paul Bax new operations director
08:00, 05 June 2015
Specialists in facilities management have appointed a new head of operations.
ParkServe have announced the decision to make Paul Bax as operations director with the main focus of preparing the group for expansion.
The new role was created following the departure of former head of operations, Richard Prosser, who helped build the company from scratch at Discovery Park, Sandwich.
Parkserve are a support services company whose primary focus is to ensure they deliver integrated facilities management solutions to leading business parks.
Since the addition of another Colworth Park in Bedfordshire, the company Paul will be ensuring that the standards are upheld as the long term plan to create a network of managed sites comes into fruition.
He joined the company as engineering and projects manager back in 2012, supporting the growth of Discovery Park.
After working in a number of roles in the industry, Paul stepped up to the new role earlier this month and is looking forward to the future.
He said: “I am delighted to have been involved in the creation of ParkServe from the start. It has been an incredible journey, seeing the company develop into such a short space of time.
“For tenants at Discovery Park, where our story began, the evolution into a multi-site company has not affected the level of service we provide tenants or our work at the site. Delivering great service is our USP. That will not change as we grow.
“We have reached a stage at Discovery Park where we can now look at other aspects, such as energy use for example, where improvements and potential savings can be made.
“The new role is an exciting one for me, it’s been great to be involved in bringing a site at which I had worked for a large part of my career, back to life. Having lived in the area for the majority of my life, I’ve got a personal interest in its success. Without Discovery Park there is not a lot else in the area in terms of employment opportunities, so I think it’s key for future generations that it does well.”
Jeff Hind, Managing Director ParkServe, said: “Paul, like Richard before him, has been with us from the start and brings with him decades of experience that will be invaluable as we move to take the business forward.
“These are exciting times for ParkServe and for the parks and businesses we currently look after. With Paul in this role there is no doubt that the best is yet to come.
“Paul shares the ParkServe DNA of creating aspirational and boutique business parks. His vision is great to see and I look forward to his input in achieving our goals.”
