Saga's new cruise ship Spirit of Discovery
12:00, 11 July 2017
Kent holiday firm Saga has just released artist’s impressions of new cruise ship Spirit of Discovery.
The 999-guest, all-balcony ship launches in summer 2019 and will feature a library that has been designed 'to evoke the cosiest of artisan coffee shops' so guests will able to enjoy coffee and cake while perusing what could be the largest collection of books at sea.
Spirit of Discovery’s spa will have a steam room, infra-red sauna and hydrotherapy pool, plus five private areas for indulgent pampering.
The Playhouse Theatre will seat 430-guests in plush surroundings with unobstructed views for shows, live music and cinema screenings.
New build director David Pickett said the ship has been designed to meet Saga guests’ requirements.
He said: “On land, our travellers’ tastes have been honed by their experiences of tastefully designed luxury hotels and fine-dining restaurants. Now it’s what they are increasingly coming to expect from us at sea and this is why we have designed Spirit of Discovery to mirror those expectations.”
Roll on summer 2019!
Saga Cruises, based in Sandgate, near Folkestone, is offering a 5% discount when booking a first cruise on Spirit of Discovery.
To book a place during the new ship’s first season call free on 0800 015 4310.
