A new co-working office space has opened its doors in Maidstone - and this weeks holds an open day for those looking to upgrade from working at home.
Unity Co-working, which operates from Trade Fair House in Enterprise Road, just south of the town centre, says flexible working spaces have become increasingly more popular since the pandemic dramatically changed the way we work.
Having opened its doors this month, tomorrow - Wednesday - it is hosting an open day between 2pm and 8pm to give those pondering a move the chance to see the facilities on offer. It can offer space to a maximum of 20 people at any one time.
Explains Kirsty Wood, commercial manager and director at the site, which offers a range of hot desks and small offices: "We have found that whilst people enjoy the easier pace of life and freedom that working from
home gives them, they are also struggling with problems such as not having a suitable space to work, too many distractions, poor connectivity and even finding that their mental health is suffering as a result of having less interaction with people.
“We aim to build a friendly community of people from varying industries and backgrounds, that can be a sounding board to each other, motivate each other and offer each other support.”
