Kent brewers Shepherd Neame have won two industry awards for delivering a great pint and excellent customer service in their pubs, following a national survey.
The OnTrack survey involved nearly 5,000 pub goers across the country to judge the quality of service experienced in British pubs.
Faversham-based Shepherd Neame won Best Overall Pub Retailer, based on customer satisfaction ratings for efficiency of service, the quality of food and drinks served and how they perceive the pub as part of the community.
Shepherd Neame also won Best Pub Retailer for Quality of Serve. Customers gave the company excellent satisfaction ratings for how their drinks were presented, judging the important criteria for a perfect pint including: glass cleanliness, beer temperature and if the pint had the right amount of head.
Nigel Bunting, Shepherd Neame retail director said: "We are delighted to win these prestigious OnTrack awards for customer service, especially up against competition from major national pub companies. The awards are even more pleasing as they were decided by customers. These accolades are testament to our commitment to training to high standards of customer service and serving a great pint."
- Shepherd Neame owns 368 pubs and hotels across London and the south east, with 251 in Kent.
