Outdoor sports brand Snow+Rock will open one of its largest UK stores at a shopping centre, creating 20 jobs.
The 13,000 sq ft space will open in November at Bluewater, stocking skiwear, climbing and snow sports gear from brands such as Arc’teryx, Fjall Raven, Patagonia, Kjus, Icebreaker, Garmin and Rab.
The store will also feature a Runners Need shop-in-shop.
The brand opened its first store on Kensington High Street, London, in 1982.
The company was acquired by AS Adverture Group in 2015, which also owns Cotswold Outdoor, Cycle Surgery and Runners Need.
Landsec, formerly known as Land Securities, is co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater.
Portfolio director Russell Loveland said: “This one-stop shop for outdoor sports lovers will bring a whole new experience-led retail offer to Bluewater, providing something new and exciting for guests.
“We have worked very closely with Snow + Rock to deliver another statement store that we are confident will engage Bluewater’s guests, providing an experience unavailable anywhere else in the South East.”
The announcement follows the announcement Coach will open at the shopping centre this autumn.
Smashbox and Missguided both opened their first stores outside London at Bluewater this year.
