Crossways Commercial Park in Dartford aims 500,000sq ft of space at logistics sector

A property group has completed construction of a major new logistics site in Dartford.
The company, Goodman, says the Crossways Commercial Park is one of its most sustainable developments in the UK with each building lined with rooftop solar panels.
Aimed at the logistics industry - which Kent has seen a huge growth in over recent years - the site offers 500,000sq ft of space.
It comprises of three units - ranging from 101,659sq ft to 240,884sq ft.
In addition to the solar panels, the park feature solar thermal hot water, solar heating, rainwater harvesting and electric vehicle charging points.
George Glennie, development director at Goodman, said: “Not only is it our most sustainable property in the UK, but it sets a standard for future properties we will be developing Its strategic location is also set to drive supply chain efficiencies for our customers, placing them closer to consumers which in turn drives down transport emissions.”
Gavin Cleary, CEO at the county's inward investment agency, Locate in Kent, said: “Goodman is not only meeting the demand for high quality, well connected space in Kent, but is also responding to the very strong desire from international companies to have sustainable, environmentally-conscious and future-facing facilities in the UK.
