Furniture and accessories store The Cotswold Company has opened its new store in Canterbury.
The brand's eighth store has opened in what was previously the site occupied by HMV on the corner of the Marlowe Arcade and Castle Street.
HMV moved out of the site in January after more than 20 years in the location. It has now moved into smaller premises once occupied by Monsoon.
It follows hot on the heels of a branch opened in Tunbridge Wells earlier this year by the furniture outlet.
The store will be spread over 6,000sq ft and two floors.
Lisa Coppin, creative director at The Cotswold Company, said: “We couldn’t be happier to be launching our third store in the past six months, and eighth store overall. The Canterbury location cements The Cotswold Company’s presence in yet another historic city, with a plethora of heritage behind it. What’s more, in opening this store, we’ve created further jobs in the Kent area, showing our commitment to investing in people, as well as places.”
