A residential care home in Tunbridge Wells has been sold.
Beulah Lodge, on Beulah Road, is a 21-place, family-run rest home.
Previously a home for boys, it was bought at auction in 1987 by the Histed family. They renovated it and reopened it as a residential home.
But they have now sold up after deciding to retire.
In a sale handled by property advisor Christie & Co, it has now been sold, for an undisclosed price, to BLTW Care which also operates Crest House Care Home in St Leonards-on-Sea, near Hastings in East Sussex.
Speaking on behalf of the Histed family, Rebecca Lince said: “We are delighted to have now sold the business to BLTW which successfully operates a similar sized care home already.”
Ilker Djavit, director at BLTW, added: “We are delighted to have bought Beulah Lodge after searching for the right care home for some time and are excited about continuing the strong reputation which Rebecca and the team have built up at Beulah Lodge as a successful family-run business by using our experience in the care sector.”
