An IT and telecoms firm broke the £1 million sales barrier for the first time in the third quarter of the year.

Communication Technology, based in Discovery Park, Sandwich, expects to break more records when it tallies up its performance in the final three months of 2017.

The company – which provides internet connectivity, telecoms, cloud services, cyber security and technology support – forecasts turnover to reach £1.75 million in the fourth quarter.

Overall revenues are 61% ahead of the same period in 2016, boosted by an agreement announced in September with commercial offices manager Property Initiatives, which looks after 3m sq ft of premises nationally.

Bosses expect the firm to double overall turnover this year.

Chief executive Tony Snaith said: “Over the past year Communicate’s growth has been significant, we have exceeded all forecasts across the group and are set to grow further, with future sales of over £2 million already booked for financial year 2018.”
