A tyre retailer is celebrating after hitting the £1million mark in online sales.
Strood-based RM Tyres has seen a huge boom in online tyre sales over the last 12 months, accounting for 28% of all sales.
Owner Phil May said: "It’s an incredible to hit such a milestone and shows where the market is heading with more people choosing to buy their tyres online.
“We have always had a strong online presence, which has certainly helped in the last 12 months and we are grateful to Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS), whose TyreClick site has played its part in helping to drive our online sales.
“The online success has been great, but we do still have customers who prefer to visit us on site to buy their tyres. With that in mind, we have put Covid-secure measures in place to ensure that our customers can feel confident visiting us in the physical retail environment."
The RM Tyres team marked the occasion with a specially baked tyre -shaped cake.
