A popular village pub is on the market - and it could be yours for £1.25 million.
The Black Horse in Monks Horton, between Ashford and Hythe, has been run by Nicola and Elsa Pomponio for the last 17 years.
But now property advisor Christie & Co is marketing the site which comes complete with five acres of land.
The two-storey property retains many original features including open fireplaces, low ceilings and exposed wooden beams and has a 100-cover dining area, bar, and large commercial kitchen.
Accessed via a separate entrance, the property also includes first-floor owners’ accommodation which has four bedrooms, a kitchen, living area, bathroom and office.
The plot includes a gravel car park for up to 60 vehicles, a garage outbuilding which is currently used for storage, a 60-cover decked area to the front and side and a lawn to the rear.
James Hughes, business agent at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office is handling the sale. He explained: “The Black Horse represents a great opportunity and will attract a range of buyers with varying levels of experience due to the room for growth, especially if the five acres of land are utilised to create other income streams.
"The pub market in Kent is currently very strong and we have experienced a number of sales already this year.”
Christie & Co is seeking £1,250,000 for the freehold interest.
