National Apprenticeship Week runs from Monday, February 8, to Sunday, February 14.

The annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships will shine a light on the the work being done by employers and apprentices across the country. The week will also recognise how employers of all sizes have stepped up to the challenge during the pandemic.

Events taking place include talks from apprentices from specific sectors and the chance to ask them questions; higher and degree apprenticeship routes; a Q&A session for parents on apprenticeships; access to National Career Service advisers; and employers showcasing apprentice opportunities.

Hazel Allan, contract manager for Ask South, said: “The vision of the Ask programme is to ensure all students, parents and teachers are better informed about the range of apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities available to them. Schools, colleges and organisations supporting young people can aslo request apprenticeships activities from the ASK programme."
