Two women’s rugby stars – including a World Cup winner – have become ambassadors for a communications agency.
Saracens and England players Vicky Fleetwood and Georgina Gulliver have teamed up with Folkestone-based Realia Marketing.
The deal is designed to boost the profile of both women’s rugby and the Kent firm.
Vicky has won 44 caps for her country and was part of the team that won the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2014 in August.
Georgina is a fellow international with 37 caps and is the former vice-captain of England.
Realia director Paul Williamson said: “Our association with women’s rugby goes back nearly 10 years having supported both Castle Cary Ladies and the now infamous Moody Cows 7s, so to welcome England stars Vicky and Georgie to our team is both a tremendous honour and opportunity for us.
“The profile of Women’s Rugby has increased significantly in recent years, capped by England’s success in the World Cup.
“However financial support for the women’s game is still way behind the men.
“With this agreement, Realia will enjoy an increase in profile and networking opportunities, and Vicky and Georgie get some financial support while they continue to pursue their already glittering England careers.
“On a personal level, they are lovely people and they will be a wonderful fit with the values we hold as an agency.”
Vicky said: “I had heard of Realia Marketing from some of my teammates at Saracens, who also play for the Moody Cows.
“I’m delighted to be working with a business that is so supportive of women’s rugby and excited to see what we can do to benefit Realia’s ambitions.”
Georgina said: “We are both very excited and can’t wait to help in any way that we can.”
