Young entrepreneurs set for blast of exposure
10:26, 24 February 2012
The achievements of young entrepreneurs are set for a blast of exposure to a wider audience.
The Kent Foundation, which helps young people with good business ideas, is showcasing their best efforts at It’s a Blast! on March 13.
At a time of soaring youth unemployment, KF promotes the "fourth option" of self-employment, unlike the other three uncertain options of further education, finding a job or joining the ranks of the unemployed.
Even if a business does not work out in the longer term, the experience develops skills that also give them a better chance of landing a permanent job.
KF recently celebrated its 25 anniversary and has helped scores of young entrepreneurs over the years.
Television presenters Geoff Clark and Iain McBride will be hosting the event at Oakwood House in Maidstone.
Organiser Kathy Cakebread said: "This is the Ultimate Networking Event for the business community of Kent, so if you want to show your support for this fantastic charity there’s still time to book your place at It’s A Blast."
