14:16, 24 July 2008
Four months after the crash, hundreds of people packed into Rochester Cathedral to celebrate the lives of the three men who were killed.
A similar event will take place at noon today.
The Thanksgiving Service will be attended by present and past crew, trustees and staff of the Air Ambulance and South East Coast Ambulance Service, and representatives from other emergency services.
The Dean of Rochester, the Very Rev Adrian Newman will lead the ceremony, with readings by Anthony Monteuuis, the charity’s chairman, and family members.
The address will be given by Canon Rev Ed Condry, a trustee of Kent Air Ambulance.
The families of the crew, issued a joint statement: “Our loss was a very public one and we were touched by the tremendous outpouring of grief from the public. We will never forget our loved ones and this Thanksgiving Service is an opportunity to celebrate the lives of three brave men, 10 years on.”
