Airmen remembered at special service
00:00, 15 November 2001
PILOTS buried in the corner of an English field were honoured yesterday. Members of the Royal Air Forces Association gathered at St Stephen's church in Lympne, near Folkestone, for an annual remembrance service.
Poppies and wooden crosses were laid by branch members from Hythe and Romney Marsh at the headstones of the eight pilots whose final resting place was in the churchyard. Villages also attended.
