Andy Hessenthaler being careful how he uses promising Gillingham forward Ashley Miller
09:46, 20 March 2012
Teenage striker Ashley Miller was back on the bench against Cheltenham on Saturday after the Gills management decided to give him a rest.
The 17-year-old netted his first goal for the Gills, in last week’s defeat against Crewe, but boss Andy Hessenthaler knows he has to be careful with the promising forward.
"He is going to be a top striker," said Hessenthaler. "We don’t want to over-use him and we have to be careful.
"He was desperate to play on Saturday but we played a certain shape and we had Jordan Obita back as well."
