Pop singer Anne-Marie has been chatting with Garry and Laura on kmfm breakfast this morning.

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter kicked Friday off to a great start, speaking about her new single, Birthday, which is released today.

She also chatted about her supernatural experiences, revealed her favourite canned food and played Celebrity Say It!

Originally from Essex, Anne-Marie has so far had 10 billion streams, four UK top 10 singles and two million album sales.

She released her debut studio album Speak Your Mind in 2018 and has since won and been nominated for multiple awards including the MTV Brand New award.

Birthday may be out today, but Anne-Marie was actually born on April 7. Speaking about how she plans to celebrate, she said: "I'm having all my friends in Ibiza and it's my sister's birthday so we're celebrating together."

She added the pair are hiring psychic. She said: "I love all that kind of stuff. I think I saw a ghost once. I was sleeping on the sofa at my friends house and they had two cats. It was about three in the morning and they were just meowing in my ear hole for ages. I was so annoyed and said "what?' and then I saw a thing sitting in the chair next to me and held the blanket over my face. I stayed there for like an hour but then I really needed a wee so had to come out.

"I love ghost stores, I love all that stuff."

If she were in a film, Anne-Marie said she'd like to be Miss Congeniality and said a lot of fans have been getting tattoos of her signature recently.

During her chat with Garry and Laura, she also revealed her favourite canned food in baked beans and admits she has probably eaten them out of the can cold before.
