Appeal after alleged sex attack

A WITNESS appeal has been launched following an alleged sexual assault on a teenage

girl.

The 16-year-old was waiting for a bus at the Pentagon Shopping Centre, Chatham, when the attack is reported to have taken place, just before 8pm on Sunday.

Within minutes of receiving the call a bus was stopped by police on patrol in Rock Avenue, Gillingham.

A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail.
