Get set for Christmas
16:00, 10 September 2013
Kent artists and makers are invited to showcase their work at a new festive retail event in Margate.
The town's Turner Contemporary gallery is hosting Made Contemporary, aimed at providing an opportunity for Kent designers, craftspeople and artists to sell their products to visitors throughout the weekend.
It will be held at the gallery from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1, and will coincide with a festive Late Night Live event at Turner Contemporary and the switching on of Margate's Christmas lights.
Businesses will pay £70 per table for the weekend, and must have a Kent connection and public liability insurance for a retail event in order to take part.
To apply for a stall, download the application form from the Turner Contemporary website.
Selection will be made by a committee and will include the opportunity for the company's work to be seen by Turner Contemporary’s retail team, with the possibility of products being stocked in the gallery shop.
The closing date for submissions is 10am on Monday, September 16.
