WBU Bantamweight champion Johnny Armour, from Medway, is hard at work ahead of his first fight in 10 months which is due to take place in early October.
Armour is expecting to take on a Russian opponent, from the Frank warren stable, before defending his title later in the year.
Armour is beginning serious preparation at Sammit's Gym in Hildenborough and can't wait to get back into the ring.
He said: "I've been away for a long time but now I can focus and get down to work.
"I can't wait to fight again. I'll be doing a lot of sparring and at Sammit's I can hide myself away and I can eat, sleep and breathe training.
Armour said he hoped to announce the name of his opponent for the warm-up fight, which is due to take place at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, sometime in the next week.
