16:27, 29 May 2007
ARMED police officers arrested several people in a raid in Orpington early today.
The officers, from the Serious Organised Crime Association (SOCA), swooped on an address in Court Road at about 7am. It is unknown how many people were arrested or what they were arrested on suspicion of.
A SOCA spokesman said: "A number of suspects were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation.
"This is a sensitve, ongoing operation and any information we can give out is limited."
SOCA was set up in April 2006 to tackle crimes such as money laundering and people smuggling.
