Supermarket giant Asda is recalling two items of children's clothing over safety fears.

The retailer, which has stores across Kent, is asking customers to return a set of girls' animal print pyjamas and a Halloween costume.

The Older Girls Leopard Print PJ Set has been recalled by the supermarket in all sizes after investigations revealed that the items failed to meet flammability requirements.

Any customer with a set of the leopard print pyjamas should take them back to the store for a full refund and no receipt is required.

Families with a Day of the Dead children's Halloween costume in the cupboard following last month's celebrations, are also being asked to take that back to their nearest shop after the costume's mask failed safety tests.

The retailer says the length of the strap on the mask, which came with the dressing up outfit that included a tutu in pink, yellow, green and blue, may be a strangulation hazard to youngsters and therefore is not suitable for children under 36 months.

As a result anyone with a costume in age two to three is being asked to take it back to their nearest shop, with or without the receipt, for their money back.
