Andy Hessenthaler felt the reintroduction of width to his team proved vital in clinching the points against Bradford City.
Andy Barcham was brought back in for his first Gillingham start since the end of January as Hessenthaler changed tactics for the visit of Peter Jackson’s Bradford side.
With Curtis Weston giving the Gills options on the right flank Hessenthaler felt is was a key reason for winning the game.
The Gills manager also spoke of his frustartion at the first half performance of referee Steve Rushton, who he felt spoiled the opening 45 minutes.
