Firefighters were called out to deal with a balcony blaze in a 15-storey block of flats.
The fire broke out on the second floor of the block in Newcastle Hill, Ramsgate, just after 11pm yesterday.
Crews fought the blaze from outside using a 12m ladder and hosereels. The heat from the blaze had already broken a window but the firefighters quickly brought it under control and managed to contain it to the flat and stop it spreading inside the building.
The resident was out at the time and no-one was hurt.
