Whitstable's Stuart Vahid tries to break through the Folkestone defence

Margate bounced back from Saturday's heavy home defeat to secure a point at Hastings in Ryman League, Premier Division.

Gate opened the scoring on 23 minutes when Kwesi Appiah fired in the rebound after Tom Bradbrook's 20-yard free-kick was parried by the Hastings keeper.

The visitors were pegged back before the break by Fred Foreman's free-kick and matters got worse when Dan Stubbs was sent-off for an apparent stamp before the interval.

The hosts turned the game on its head after the break through Josh Jirbandey's header but Appiah secured a point for the 10-men when he converted from the spot following a handball, which saw the hosts also reduced to 10.

Cray Wanderers made it back-to-back wins with a 1-0 victory over Carshalton at Hayes Lane on Monday.

Jack Clark's strike shortly before the break was enough to secure the win which took the Wands within two points of the play-off places.

In Ryman League, Division 1 South Faversham scored their first goals of the campaign to secure their first points in a 3-2 win against Croydon Athletic.

The vicitors snatched the lead after just four minutes but Adrian Stone drew the hosts level on 10 minutes and Aaron Quain gave the Lilywhites the lead two minutes into the second-half.

Kery Kedze grabbed his second for Croydon to equalise on 54 minutes but Matt Bourne pounced three minutes later to seal the win.

Folkestone Invicta trounced Whitstable Town 4-1 at the Buzzlines Stadium to make it three wins from four games.

Richard Atkins opened the scoring in the Ryman League Division 1 South game after just nine minutes but Stuart Vahid drew the visitors level 10 minutes later.

James Everitt restored the Invicta lead two minutes after the restart with Roland Edge making it three on 74 minutes and Frankie Chappell adding the fourth five minutes from time.

Ramsgate maintained their unbeaten run as they overcame Hythe Town 2-0 at Southwood.

Pascal Ebigbo opened the scoring three minutes before the break with a fine solo goal and Mark Lovell grabbed the second in the 90th minute after a free-kick had struck the crossbar.

There was still time for Hythe skipper Dave Cook to receive a second yellow card.

In Division 1 North, Chatham Town lost their 100 per cent record but remain unbeaten after snatching a 1-1 draw at Tilbury.

The hosts took the lead at the start of the second half but Chatham's pressure paid-off in the final minute when Jack Jeffery found the net.

Thamesmead Town were denied a win by an injury-time leveller in a 2-2 draw at home to Romford.

Rikki Cable put the hosts ahead from the spot on 55 minutes and despite the visitors levelling seven minutes later, Danny Penny looked to have won it on 81 minutes, only for the Essex side to snatch a last-gasp point.
