The body of a man thought to be an asylum seeker attempting to reach Kent has washed up on a beach.
French authorities are reporting a body has been discovered on the shores of Sangatte, just outside Calais.
The man - aged between 20 and 40 - was found to be wearing a life jacket.
In August a 16-year-old Sudanese asylum seeker was found dead on the same beach after a makeshift boat capsized in the Channel.
More than 100 people reached Kent shores yesterday in what was a busy day for the Border Force.
French authorities are also thought to have prevented a number from making the crossing.
However, overnight a string of attempts from the French coast were made.
A body of a man thought to be an asylum seeker was then found on Sangatte beach early this morning.
