Boy fights for life after gang attack

A BOY is in a critical condition after being attacked by a gang of youths in a Kent town centre.

The 17-year-old suffered serious head injuries when he was chased and assaulted by up to six youths in Station Road, Bromley, on Wednesday evening.

He was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, before being transferred to another south London hospital for surgery. He is now said to be critically ill.

The teenager and his friend, also 17, were involved in an alercation with the group in East Street before being chased to Station Road.

He was pursued to Station Road where it is thought he was attacked between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

Bromley CID's Det Insp Alex Phipp urged witnesses or anyone in the area at the time to come forward.
