Brace yourself for force 10 winds
17:05, 08 December 2011
Delays are expected as strong winds lash the ferries at the Port of Dover.
Force 9 gales are battering the county, threatening to break branches and even uproot small trees.
The gales are already reaching speeds of more than 50mph, meaning it takes longer for ferries to dock.
But coastguards are warning conditions are set to get worse overnight and into tomorrow - with winds reaching force 10.
That means high waves, and wind speeds topping 60mph.
Trees could be broken off or uprooted and poorly-fitted tiles could peel off roofs.
