Gillingham have added striker Jo Kuffour to their squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to AFC Wimbledon.
The 29-year-old striker joins on loan until the end of the year.
Kuffour started his career at Arsenal and after a loan spell at Swindon he moved permanently to Torquay United. He then had spells at Brentford and Bournemouth before signing for Rovers in 2008.
Kuffour has scored 32 league goals for Rovers in 104 starts but at the start of September boss Paul Buckle confirmed the front-man was available on loan.
The player has been keen to move to a club closer to London and it is understood Northampton Town had previously shown an interest.
He arrives at Priestfield to beef up the attack which is already looking more potent following the recent loan signing of West Ham’s Frank Nouble.
