Captain Nicky Bailey rescued a point for Charlton against struggling Tranmere in League 1 on Saturday.
Bailey pounced to equalise after Deon Burton had flicked on Grant Basey's corner in the 57th minute - but the home supporters were unhappy at the final whistle as more points were surrendered at The Valley.
Tranmere had taken just five points on the road before Saturday but took the lead three minutes into the second half when Craig Curran's header took a telling deflection off defender Sam Sodje to beat substitute keeper Darren Randolph, who had come onto replace the injured Rob Elliot in the 35th minute.
Kyle Reid made his debut for Charlton and impressed on the left-wing - fans booed when he was withdrawn on 70 minutes.
Both sides hit the woodwork and Tranmere had a man sent off in a frantic four minutes of stoppage time.
First, Ian Goodison smashed a loose ball against the Charlton bar and then Bailey almost won it at the other end for Charlton only to see his left-foot shot hit the outside of the post.
And there was still time for Zoumana Bakayogo to pick up a second yellow card for a foul on Charlton substitute Scott Wagstaff.
With Leeds and Norwich both losing, the result left the Addicks five points adrift in third place.
