After taking seven points from the three games over Easter, some people have said that’s it, we now have enough to stay up. But you won’t hear that from anyone within the Charlton camp.

No one knows what is going to happen this season. You only have to look at Tuesday night, when both the Cardiff versus Barnsley and Millwall versus Sheffield Wednesday results were going our way into stoppage time, and then Barnsley scored a 96th-minute equaliser and Wednesday grabbed a late winner.

It was us who scored late on against Leeds on Saturday, though, for a deserved win.

I don’t think there was anyone at the game who would have argued the result wasn’t fair, although we would have liked to have had the game won sooner. Nevertheless, there is something satisfying about a last-minute winner.

It was an important game for the club, and for me, personally. Given our previous home win and important point away at Brighton we had to build on that, and of course, Leeds are my former club.

It’s been a good time of the season to have a good run of form and we need to continue that away at Barnsley on Saturday and Cardiff on Tuesday.

The bottom line is that we need as many points as we can. We want to be certain that we’re playing Championship football next season and not waiting to hear about other scores and relying on them.

For my part, to play three matches in eight days has been great.

The last 12 or 13 months haven’t been great due to my Achilles injury but the manager has kept believing in me.

The physio department has been outstanding with me and I have kept going and kept believing.

Luckily, the manager has given me a chance and I am trying to repay him for everything that he has done for me.

I am just proud and honoured to be in the dressing room with such an honest bunch of lads.
