Flood alerts have been put in place for much of Kent's coastline ahead of high spring tides.
The warnings, put in place by the Environment Agency, stretch from Dartford to Margate, including the Isle of Sheppey.
Earlier, bosses in Whitstable and Herne Bay took the decision to close their floodgates, ahead of the forecasted surge.
The flood alert urges people living in those areas to be prepared for possible tidal flooding.
It states: "This flood alert has been issued due to the high spring tides combined with a large surge forecast for early Monday morning.
"There is the possibility for flooding of roads and low lying land near the coast between 4am and 6.30am tomorrow.
"Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point, however we will continue to monitor the situation and issue further messages if necessary.
"Coastal conditions are forecast to improve following this tide and no further alerts are expected to be issued in the coming days.
"Our incident response staff are operating our defences and structures in the area."
Areas identified as being at particular risk include: Royal Pier Road and the Promenade in Gravesend, North Lane and Bridge Road in Faversham, the Conyer area and low lying land around Seasalter.
An alert is also in force along the River Medway and covers the Isle of Grain, Aylesford, the Medway Towns, Lower Halstow, Middle Stoke and Lower Stoke.
Areas of concern include Canal Road, Strood and Upnor.
