Couple's pain after year without Kelly
09:38, 05 December 2008
It has been traumatic for the parents of Kelly Ann Silverton since her death a year ago.
Kelly died in a car crash on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Main Road, Cooling. The 24-year-old from Sedley Close, Cliffe Woods had been travelling in a BMW with her older sister, Nadine.
Nadine and the driver of the car, Bradley Gardiner, survived.
Kelly’s parents, Cheryl and Peter, are still struggling to come to terms with life without Kelly.
Cheryl said: “I didn’t realise my tears could still flow so much. We have found the past year so traumatic.
“I can’t believe it has been a year. We miss her so much and I was dreading the anniversary coming.
“Before it reached a year, I could think to myself, this time last year she was alive. After the anniversary, I can’t say that again. It’s just not fair.
“I would do absolutely anything to have her back. I’ve completely lost my faith in God –I know there is one, but I feel let down.”
