Curtis Weston back in the Gillingham fold against Swindon Town
11:14, 24 April 2012
Curtis Weston ended a two-month absence by making a late appearance against his former club Swindon on Saturday.
Weston underwent a knee operation earlier this year and has made a quicker-than-expected recovery.
Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler was delighted to welcome him back.
He said: "He looked bright in training this week so I decided to put him back in.
"The bench was strong and even the goalkeeper is back now, Ross Flitney, and he can't get on there. We go without a goalkeeper because of the silly rules from the Football Association regarding changing it from seven subs to five.
"We are getting a few players back from injury at the wrong time, I suppose, because it is coming to an end."
