Driver's fire alert was false alarm

A young woman driver who thought her car engine was on fire called firefighters for help on Tuesday evening.
A crew from Strood fire station were called out to the Bridgewood roundabout, Chatham, at 6pm, after the young woman thought her engine was on fire.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: “There was a lot of steam coming out of her engine, but it was not on fire. It had overheated.
“We gave the girl some advice.”
