Kent rail passengers braced for severe disruption on Southeastern trains over Easter weekend
00:01, 18 April 2014
Rail passengers are being warned to expect disruption on Kent's trains this Easter weekend as major engineering work take place.
There will be no services to London Charing Cross or Waterloo East from the county and trains from Medway to Victoria and St Pancras will also be affected.
Some trains will be diverted via London Cannon Street and passengers will be able to use London Undergound services.
A Southeastern spokesman said workers are doing all they can to minimise the inconvenience, which is expected until Monday.
It comes as no trains are running through Medway over Easter while large-scale work is carried out at the new Rochester station.
Kent's roads are also expected to be busier than usual as families continue the Easter getaway.
