End of the Rhodes for celebrity chef's dancing
12:32, 06 October 2008
Top chef Gary Rhodes has been knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing.
The father-of-two, who was brought up and educated in Gillingham, bowed out of the competition on Sunday night after losing out to Olympic swimmer Mark Foster.
His performance of Lipstick, Powder and Paint by Shakin Stevens with professional dancing partner Karen Hardy failed to impress the judges. One judge described his footwork as "flat as a pancake".
The pair were awarded a total of just 18 on Saturday night - leaving them at the bottom of the points table.
Gary went to Twydall Junior School and the Howard School in Rainham before going to catering college in Thanet.
He has been a chef for more than 30 years, run Michelin-starred restaurants and featured in his own TV programmes.
