Firefighters rescue three trapped in lift

Three care workers at a nursing home in Strood had to be rescued by firefighters after they got stuck in a lift in the middle of their night shift.
A crew from Strood fire station was called out the Frindsbury Hall Nursing Home, in Frindsbury Hill, in the early hours of this morning .
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We got the call just after midnight.It took us about 20 minutes to free the trio, and they were very grateful for our assistance. “
