Firefighters tackle barn blaze

Firefighters were called out to deal with burning bales of hay in a barn in Matts Hill Road, Bredhurst, early on Monday morning.
A crew from Medway fire station went to the barn at about 7.40am.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “Some hay was alight in the barn, but it was only a small fire and was put out by 8.10am.
Firefighters stayed on the scene for a while longer to dampen down the hay to make sure it didn’t reignite.
