Earlier this year Greyfox introduced free floor plans for anyone looking to sell their house and now believes this could be increasing buyer interest by around 30 per cent.
Rightmove, the UK’s largest property website, researched the various marketing strategies employed by agents to make their properties stand out from the online crowd.
The conclusion was that properties with floor plans generate 30 per cent more interest than properties without one.
“We strongly believe that floor plans have a dramatic effect in generating buyer interest, and these figures prove it beyond any doubt,” said Steve O’Neill, managing director of Greyfox, which has branches in Chatham, Walderslade and Rainham.
“Floor plans give a much clearer visual impression of the actual size and layout of a property than photographs can convey.
“Basically, they make it far easier for house hunters using the internet – which is where more than 80 per cent of people looking to buy now start their search – to envisage themselves living in a particular property.”
