A blimp similar to the one pictured above came loose over Deal
A flyaway helium aircraft sparked safety fears this afternoon when it came loose over Deal.
The large blimp - a floating airship believed to be advertising a building company - broke from its moorings at about 2.30pm.
Kent Police were concerned it was a danger as it could have fallen to the ground.
But the force said the yellow blimp, which was about 20ft by 6ft, began to fly out to sea.
It said there is not believed to be a danger to the public, but the Civil Aviation Authority is monitoring the situation.
