Matt Fish is in line to make his first Gillingham start in place of defender Barry Fuller, who is a doubt after aggravating a knee injury last weekend.

Fish (pictured), one of several former Dover players in the Gills squad, has been restricted to three substitute appearances this season since making the switch to Priestfield in the summer.

The 22-year-old was absent at the weekend after suffering from concussion. Also missing with the same ailment was Matt Lawrence but the pair are back for the match against Burton on Saturday.

Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler said: "Fish will be back and so he would be a replacement if Barry is not fit."

Fuller missed Tuesday training and is set to join Danny Spiller (ankle) and Curtis Weston (thigh) on the sidelines.

Also missing but making good progress is Jack Payne, out with a knee injury.

"He (Payne) is working hard on the straight line stuff with a bit of twisting and turning so he might not be far away," said Hessenthaler.
