Franny McGuirk and Andy Smith learn pairings for The Open at Royal St George's

Kent professionals Franny McGuirk and Andy Smith both were given unglamorous pairings when the draw for the first round of The Open at Royal St George's, Sandwich, was made on Monday morning.
McGuirk (right), the 37-year-old Prince’s Golf Club professional, will tee-off with Australian Matthew Millar and American Kevin Streelman at 10.48am, while Andy Smith (below right), the former Maidstone Grammar School pupil from Loose, who is attached to Tudor Park Golf Club, will have to wait until the penultimate threesome tees-off at 4pm.
He will play with South African George Coetzee and Australian Brad Kennedy.
World No.1 Luke Donald goes off at 9.20am with Spaniard Sergio Garcia and Ryo Ishikawa (Japan) with Rory McIllroy playing ahead of him with Ernie Els and Ricky Fowler.
Lee Westwood plays with Steve Stricker and Charl Schwartzel at 2.10pm.
The opening shot of the 140th Open will be hit by American Jerry Kelly at 6.30am. He will play with Australian Nathan Green and England's Danny Willett.
